"Learning to See the World’s Opportunities: The Impact of Imagery on Entrepreneurial Success"

Ongoing research published in the working paper Learning to See the World’s Opportunities underscores how visualization skills enhance entrepreneurial success for any individual. Entrepreneurs who actively engage in positive mental imagery improve their financial stability, creative problem-solving, and access to credit. However, not everyone has equal access to this skill—past hardships and trauma can limit one’s ability to visualize a positive future. But, like any skill, visualization can be improved upon.

This makes training in visualization techniques essential, both formally and informally. Embarking on opportunity discovery journeys in an intellectually safe setting allows the latent entrepreneur to break out of disempowering patterns, seeing mental obstacles in new ways.

By intentionally developing these skills through a variety of mediums, we can empower more entrepreneurs to overcome internal and external barriers, leverage intrinsic motivation, and pursue compelling goals with clarity and confidence.

"Femology and Michigan Central Unite to Propel Female Entrepreneurship in Detroit"

In a transformative move to bolster female entrepreneurship, Femology has partnered with Michigan Central to empower women-led ventures in Detroit and beyond. This collaboration aims to dismantle barriers and provide essential resources to female founders. With Femology's new headquarters at Michigan Central's Newlab, the partnership introduces the Female Founders School, offering mentorship and support from ideation to scaling. Meagan Ward, Femology's founder and Michigan Central's Community Builder in Residence, emphasizes the goal to equip women to "rise, thrive, and leave an indelible mark on the world."

Traditional entrepreneurship training and spaces often overlook the unique challenges and perspectives of women founders. Research shows that standard business education can even hinder women’s progress. This partnership between Femology and Michigan Central takes a different approach—creating space for collaboration, mentorship, and innovation tailored to women entrepreneurs.

This initiative exemplifies how inclusive ecosystems unlock untapped entrepreneurial potential by fostering a community where women can develop their vision and build their skills outside of traditional interventions.
