ELI Founder Brings an Underdog Success Story to Community College Commencement

"Pierpont Community & Technical College held its annual commencement ceremony Thursday, May 9, 2019, at the Robinson Grand Theater in Clarksburg, WV. Degrees were conferred on graduates from the Schools of Business, Aviation & Technology; General Education & Professional Programs; and Health Sciences.

Author and entrepreneur Gary Schoeniger provided the keynote address to the graduates, family members, and guests in attendance.

His speech entitled “How Underdogs Win” examined how those who have no particular advantage in life manage to rise above their circumstances to create meaningful and prosperous lives."

NC Idea Announces 3rd Ice House Facilitator Training

This month, North Carolina based foundation NC Idea opened applications for their third cohort of the Ice House Entrepreneurship Facilitator Training for North Carolinians. The three-day interactive training will be held at Barton College in Wilson from August 6-8. The deadline to apply is July 1.

Erie Middle School Students Showcase Ice House Projects

Students from three middle schools in Erie celebrated a year's worth of entrepreneurial learning Friday morning. Throughout the spring, all 7th-grade students from Woodrow Wilson, Strong Vincent, and East Middle Schools learned about entrepreneurship through interactive classroom lessons.
