Hi there,

Previously scheduled in-person at Northampton Community College in Bethlehem, PA, our November facilitator training is going virtual!

In this online training, you will develop a deeper understanding of the eight life lessons by taking you through the various editions of the Ice House Programs in their entirety. Simultaneously, you will learn about our research into the entrepreneurial mindset and we will get together to discuss these concepts further as well as the best methods for the facilitation of these concepts through live Zoom sessions. In addition to the live sessions, you will engage in a mix of recorded presentations, small group and individual activities, discussions, and experiential, problem-based learning.

Regardless of who you teach or serve, an entrepreneurial mindset provides a new perspective; one that will expose new opportunities, ignite their ambition and cultivate the confidence, creativity, self-reliance, and resourcefulness that are essential for anyone to adapt and thrive in today’s rapidly changing world.

Online Classrooms, An Opportunity for Entrepreneurial Learning

As technology and global economies advance and change, education must adapt to prepare our students for an uncertain future. In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, some of these adaptations are becoming all the more relevant and important. Providing “space” for learning, unlearning, and relearning is already a difficult task, but it can feel insurmountable when you are unable to meet in-person as we have traditionally.

Once seen as inadequate or second-rate, online learning is now at the forefront of many teachers’ and professors’ minds. As an option for schools that are otherwise closed due to the pandemic, and as a part of plans moving forward as we phase out of lockdowns around the world, we are seeing more and more blended or completely online classes being offered. For many educators, an online learning experience becomes as much about the “how” as it is meant to be about the “what,” of learning.

This piece is meant to better prepare teachers for the immense opportunities of online learning, and how online learning can be an integral part of developing more innovative, creative, and entrepreneurial learners for the future.
