"Lost Einsteins: The US may have missed out on millions of inventors"

The article "Lost Einsteins" from MIT’s Sloan School reveals that the U.S. may have missed out on millions of potential inventors due to unequal access to resources and opportunities. By fostering a more inclusive environment and nurturing diverse talent, we can unlock untapped innovation while also enabling self-empowerment for those communities that have previously been ignored in the space of entrepreneurship and innovation.

This insight aligns perfectly with our mission at ELI: to promote entrepreneurial mindset education and ensure that everyone, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to innovate and succeed. Embracing diversity in entrepreneurial education can lead to groundbreaking ideas and progress and goes far beyond start-up creation.

"PERMA™ Theory of Well-Being"

For those familiar with ELI's work, you have probably heard of Martin Seligman. Part of why we love his work is that his PERMA theory—Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment—provides a powerful framework for entrepreneurial mindset education to reach new depths of impact. By integrating these elements, educators can cultivate resilience, motivation, and a sense of purpose in their learners.

This holistic approach not only enhances personal well-being but also empowers future entrepreneurs to thrive in their ventures, be they start-up initiatives or new career development. Embracing PERMA within our learning environments ensures that students are equipped with the mental tools needed for lasting success in and outside of business.
