ELI Reaches Another Major Milestone

Thus far, over 2,000 Ice House Facilitators Trained

Hi there,

The Ice House Certified Facilitator community is now 2,125 strong! Moving into the second quarter of 2019, we thought it was a great time to reflect on our network of change-makers. Our facilitators come from all sectors including public, private, and non-profit; including higher education, primary and secondary education, community development, small business initiatives, and city or regional governments.

Ice House facilitators are truly a global cohort. Trained facilitators hail from 23 different countries, ranging from North, Central, and South America; as well as Europe, Asia, Africa, the Caribbean, and Australia. In the US, we have facilitators promoting the entrepreneurial mindset in 44 states as well as Puerto Rico and Washington, DC. Since our first trainings in 2011, we could have never imagined the wide variety of backgrounds and regions our facilitators have come from.

As we continue on our own entrepreneurial journey, we would love to hear about your own successes and struggles bringing a mindset shift to your clients, students, workplace, or community.

Want to join this distinguished group of individuals? Details about our next facilitator training at Lindenwood University, outside of St. Louis, Missouri, are below!

Transforming your Organization with an Entrepreneurial Mindset

Everyone wants to be involved in work that matters. When employees have an entrepreneurial mindset, they can see the purpose. They begin to take ownership and become self-directed. They begin to see opportunities where others see none and find ways to create value by solving problems for their organization and those it serves. Join Gary Schoeniger along with facilitators Tricia Teague and Audrey Wyatt as they discuss the power of an entrepreneurial mindset in the workplace.

Future of Work

Steidle: The future of work is entrepreneurial

Why do so many people not understand the power of entrepreneurship? Perhaps the word “entrepreneurial” gives them hives or they have no idea how the word even applies to them. After all, they are not interested in starting a business so why should they care?

Ice House Facilitator and founder of the Innovation Agency, Samantha Steidle answers this question and more in a blog post initially posted in the Roanoke Times.

  Entrepreneurship is Opportunity Discovery

How to Think (and Act) Like an Entrepreneur

See the start of our ongoing series about how to think and act like an entrepreneur.

"What is it that enables entrepreneurs to identify opportunities that others overlook? And how do they mobilize the resources and marshal the resilience, the creativity, and critical thinking that enables them to transform their ideas into thriving new businesses that not only generate wealth, but create new jobs, revitalize their communities, transform their organizations, or reinvent their careers?"

Take the Course.

The Ice House Entrepreneurship Program is now available to the general public! Take the course people are calling "life-changing." Whether you want to start a business or learn how to think more critically in your current endeavors, this course is for you.
